The Staten Island Alumnae Chapter will be awarding two (2) Graduating High School Seniors and one (1) Current College Student with our 2024 Melody Scott-Decuir and Teresa A. Gallishaw Scholarships. 

Applications MUST be submitted online and received by March 15, 2024!

MELODY SCOTT-DECUIR SCHOLARSHIP for High School Seniors Application: 

• One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded; must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
• One (1) $1,000 scholarship for four (4) years will be awarded; must maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout their matriculation

Requirements:

• Student must be a resident of Staten Island and African, Latino, or Caribbean American descent 
• Student will graduate High School or receive their GED by June or August 2024 

TERESA A. GALLISHAW SCHOLARSHIP for College Students Application: 

• One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded; must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better

Requirements:

• Student must be a resident of Staten Island or attend college on Staten Island 
• Student of African, Latino, or Caribbean-American descent 
• A rising college sophomore, junior, or senior
